Your PDF files are processed on secure third-party servers and are never stored permanently. We do not sell your data. Aadhaar masking is performed to protect your privacy.
Information We Collect
PDF Toolkit India collects minimal information necessary to provide our services:
- PDF and image files — Uploaded temporarily for processing (compress, merge, split, etc.) and deleted immediately after.
- Usage data — Anonymous app usage statistics (features used, session duration) via Firebase Analytics.
- Purchase information — Managed entirely by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not store payment details.
- Device information — Basic device type and OS version for crash reporting via Firebase Crashlytics.
- Ad identifiers — Used by Google AdMob to serve relevant advertisements to free-tier users only.
How We Use Your Files
All PDF processing is powered by the iLovePDF API (ilovepdf.com). Your files are:
- Uploaded securely over HTTPS to iLovePDF processing servers
- Processed (compressed, merged, split, etc.) and returned to your device
- Automatically deleted from processing servers within 2 hours
- Never stored, shared, or used for any other purpose
Aadhaar Masking: The Aadhaar masking feature is processed locally on your device. Your Aadhaar number is never transmitted to any server.
Third-Party Services
PDF Toolkit India uses the following third-party services:
Data Retention
- PDF files: Deleted from processing servers within 2 hours of processing
- Usage statistics: Retained for 12 months in anonymized form
- Purchase records: Retained as required by Google Play policies
- Crash logs: Retained for 90 days
Advertising
Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may use device identifiers to show relevant content. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Pro subscribers (₹49/month and above) see zero advertisements.
Children's Privacy
PDF Toolkit India is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics collection (via device settings)
- Opt out of personalized advertising
Security
All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
